AdSense: Account Disabled

Today I received a mail from google adsense telling me that my account was being disabled due to suspicious of invalid clicks. Oh fod God's sake I was getting only a few clicks per day (and when I say a few, I really mean a few! Less that ten, sometimes evn less that 5 or not even a single click)… Not that I was using proxies or something to generate clicks. Oh well..they reserved the right to terminate the agreement whenever they found suspicious of policy violation, now that the time to collect some money was arriving, they just managed to get some violation so I wouldn't get the money.

Anyway my adsense macro will continue to be maintained, I still have some friends that have adsense accounts, where I can test and see the scripts that google generates. No worries about that (if anyone actually worries about it).

Besides that I'm off to find a new advertising service, where they actually pay the people instead of accusing of invalid click suspicious and terminating the account almost at the time of paying. Oh well..that's life. I already had the idea that easy money was too good to be true.

It was all my ad blocking :P. They did not get enough clicks off your ass since I was blocking them. Oh well ads suck as it is. Although AdSense is one of the better ad services out there as far as intrusiveness and such goes…

Actually they told me that they were getting too many clicks, so I'm sorry but it wasn't your ads blocks that ruined me! laugh

I don't think Adsense is the less intrusive ads service, there's a new one called >>IntelliTXT, it identifies relevant words and double underlines them, when you put your mouse over such word it shows up a div with the ad. It's pretty neat! So mainly it's actually inline ads that only show up if you go to the word that is smart tagged.

At least in my opinion that's less intrusive! Although they are not yet worldwide nor for everyone, if you read their >> qualification policy you'll realize that.

They don't provide any details? They just say they suspect fraud? That is not fair, if what you say is true (about the 5-10 clicks per day).

Good luck with your new service!

I dunno man stuff popping up in my window is exactly what I call intrusive. With adsense at least you see the ads right there and then and don't have to go: "Oh I want to learn more about linux (which is double underlined) click BAM: BUY SOME RED HAT BITCH"… thats just me though. I have never been too big of a fan of ads on sites, but then again I have yet to have to pay for hosting or any of the other wonderful things that most peoplehave to do :).

jff: Well they only stated that there were invalid clicks, then pointed to their policy on what they define what an invalid click is, which can be plenty of things. Although they haven't given any details about why. And yes I'm saying the truth about the clicks, why should I lie?

I still have to see what service can suite my blog.

Manowar: Well I don't mean popups, it's just a div docked in the document. I don't feel it's true intrusive. Although that scenario about that you were describing could happen. Well I don't have to pay for hosting too (I provide hosting for myself), although even if I had to pay it would be dead cheap.

The idea of having ads, in my opinion, is just trying to make some profit of what you're display in the web (capitalism at it's best).
