Downtime: DNS problems

If you have tried to access my domain on the last 2 days you definitely have noticed that you could not resolve the IPs for the pabrantes.net domain. My apologies for that.

The problem wasn't really on my server but rather with the nameservers of my domain, it seems >>zoneedit has been experiencing problems with some of their nameservers and both of the nameservers that are serving my domain (ns2 and ns3 from zoneedit.com domain) were down.

Gladly their team already got ns3 online and my domain is back online; they're still working on ns2 though.
I'm not complaining about their services but rather presenting an explanation for the downtime. I must say that zoneedit provides an excellent free service and in one year this was the only time I had problems with their servers due to hardware failure (I once had also downtime due to an attack to my account, you can read more about that on >>Downtime: Zoneedit account lockdown).
I'll try to find a way of getting another nameserver for free. Maybe setting up a nameserver on the other domains I host and become nameservers for my own domain.. Definitely I have to find out a solution.

I hope that I won't experience more DNS problems in the near future. All these problems happen because static IP solutions are still way to expensive here in Portugal, otherwise I would already have bought a static IP.

Also remember that if you want to access my blog there's always another redundancy uplink, the >>dyndns one, though I don't recommend the use of it, unless when really needed.

Thank you for keep visiting!
